Saint Kitts and Nevis Signs
Saint Kitts and Nevis has signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) on 23 March 2004. The Saint Kitts and Nevis signature brings the total number of Signatories to 171. The number of Signatories in the Latin America and the Caribbean geographical region now stands at 27.
The CTBT bans all nuclear weapon test explosions. Drafted at the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, and adopted by the General Assembly on 10 September 1996, the Treaty was opened for signature on 24 September 1996 at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
